Who We Are

Equipping the church. Engaging the culture.

The Apologetics Resource Center (ARC) is a ministry dedicated to equipping believers with biblical truth. We serve pastors, students, and families with resources and training that strengthen the Church and reach the culture with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why We Exist

A calling to strengthen believers and reach the lost.

ARC’s mission is clear: Equip the Church and engage the culture through apologetics.

ARC is an interdenominational Christian ministry that:

Our Story: Building on a Strong Foundation

From faithful beginnings to growing impact across the U.S.

The Apologetics Resource Center began in 1999 under founder Craig Branch, who had previously led the Alabama chapter of Watchman Fellowship, a large counter-cult ministry.

In 2001, Clete Hux joined ARC after serving as an associate apologist for over a decade. After many years of faithful leadership, Craig retired, and in 2013, Clete Hux was installed as Director of ARC, serving faithfully until 2025, when the ARC board appointed Nate Williams as Director.

ARC has grown into a respected ministry recognized for equipping Christians with a biblically solid defense of the gospel. Over the years, ARC staff and associates such as Dr. Steve Cowan, Dr. Paul Cleveland, Rev. Jim Shaw, and Brandon Robbins have expanded ARC’s reach to thousands of believers across the country.

Our vision remains the same:
To provide resources that help the Church answer challenges from skepticism, secularism, and other false philosophies, while giving believers confidence to share the gospel.

Ministry-to-Ministry Connections

Reaching across denominations with biblical truth.

ARC partners with churches and ministries across denominational lines to strengthen the body of Christ. As a ministry, we have had opportunities to speak and teach within a variety of networks, providing biblical clarity and apologetics training for pastors, leaders, and congregations.

The icons/logos above represent denominations and associations where ARC speakers have taught or presented. These logos do not indicate official endorsements but highlight the breadth of ministry contexts where ARC has served.
